It’s officially March, and Loople is declaring an entire month long celebration in honor of everyone’s patron drinking, Saint Patrick. Baltimore is coming alive this month with so many exciting events around the city, and Loople is here to guide you through the festivities.
Wednesday March 2nd - "T-Shirt Giveaway"
We are kicking off the month with a Loople "St. Patty’s T-Shirt Giveaway Party" at Tavern on the Square from 6-8pm. Come by and get special discounts on drinks and the first 50 people to arrive get a free Loople shirt to wear all month long!
Find out how to get a free t-shirt on our Facebook: www.facebook.com/LoopleMobile/
Saturday March 5th - "Canton Stroll" sponsored by Lindy Promotions
Oh the event that most "cantonites" leave the city during... the infamous Lindy Promotions’ "Canton Stroll." Whether you like taking part in the revelry or just making fun of people that do it always makes for an amusing day. The crawl goes from 1-9pm at multiple locations around Canton. More details can be found at http://www.lindypromo.com/
Friday March 11th - "Meet in the Street" Day 1
Always one of our favorite events, the "Meet in the Street" has expanded this year. From what we've heard so far the streets passing through Canton Square will be closed off this year so you can enjoy your refreshing beverages and stumble out of the bars without the fear of a reckless car blowing through a stop sign ruining your night. Obviously, the center of the action will be "Claddagh's Pub" with it's long history of hosting this event. Wherever you go the weekend of the 11th & 12th its hard not to feel a little bit Irish.
"Meet in the Street" from 3pm-2am in Canton Square. Check the Loople app for participating bar specials!
Saturday March 12th - "Meet in the Street" Day 2
Round 2 is here just in time for you to shake off that hangover, grab a Gatorade, and jump back into the swing of things. By this point we think you should be used to it, right? Great, if you are around Canton swing back through the Square starting at 11am. Loud music, cold Guinness and *fingers crossed* nice weather.
Saturday March 12th - "Kegs & Eggs"
Get your green on and come party like it's college all over again! Power Plant Live continues their "Rally in the Alley" series with this Miller Lite fulled event.
All Inclusive Package ($30) includes:
Shamrocks and Shenanigans at Power Plant Live!
Free entry from 3-10pm
Saturday March 12th - "St Natty's Day" Crawl sponsored by Fells Point Main Street
Up until this point Fells Point has been mostly out of the action but thanks to your friends at National Bohemian your event is here! Come support a great cause "Fells Point Main Street" as they highlight many of the awesome establishments in this historic area of the city. The party goes from 11am-8pm and tickets can be found here
Saturday March 12th - "Fed Hill Stroll" sponsored by Lindy Promotions
This Saturday the crawl migrates over to the other side of the water here in Baltimore, Federal Hill. Lindy Promotion's party begins at 1pm and goes straight through the afternoon. Just like in Canton expect hordes of crawlers getting after it like their liver won't last them the weekend.
Saturday March 12th - "Shamrock Stroll" sponsored by Bmore Around Town
If you live outside of the city you are still in luck thanks to "Bmore Around Town" and their Towson Crawl.
Sunday March 13th - "St. Patrick's Day Parade"
Baltimore’s St. Patrick Parade is truly the jewel in Maryland’s emerald crown. For more than 50 years, thousands of spectators from the region have crowded the streets and sidewalks of downtown Baltimore and the famous Inner Harbor to watch thousands more march and celebrate Irish culture, music, song, and dance.
The parade starts at 2pm at the Washington Monument, then proceeds down Charles Street and continues to Pratt Street and Market Place. More info can be found http://irishparade.net/
Just please don't chase any floats...
Sunday March 13th - "Kelley Shamrock 5k" sponsored by Under Armour
Grab your green and join other spirited locals for one of Baltimore's largest and most festive 5Ks! Run through our city and finish at Power Plant Live! for an epic after-party. Rumor has it that this event will sell out, so register early if you want to participate. That is unless you are still nursing that hangover from a wild Saturday. Tickets and more info can be found here: www.runnersignup.com/race/MD
More info to come! Especially as we get closer to the actual St. Patty's Day
In the mean-time don't forget to check Loople for the latest listings of drink specials, food specials, and live music all month long because as we know....It's impossible to be unhappy on St. Patrick's Day!
